Ciao Friends!
It's Cathy from Vito's! Haven't talked to you all in a while, just wanted to say hi! The
construction on The Lakeside Shops where Vito's is located, is soooo close to being
finished. Unfortunately, Vito's is just about the last one to be done. Maybe I'm just
too nice. Anyway, if you don't see the sign up yet, don't be alarmed it should be up in
the next few days! hoooraaayyy!
Vito's is featuring an amazing special this week. I've been having a lot of requests
for Pasta Carbonara. Well, I've been doing something similar but with a twist. Grilled
chicken breast with garlic, shallots, basil, fresh mushrooms, and bacon, in a creamy
mushroom alfredo tossed with penne pasta and topped with fresh tomatoes. Come
in and give it a try, I'm thinking about adding it to the menu but I'd like your input!
The weather is getting chilly. Great weather for Italian Food! You might think about
booking your Christmas Parties soon. I've already started taking reservations. I can
seat up to 90 people so if you have a party of 10, 20, 30, or more, let me know so we
can reserve space for you.
Sean and I have some new cooking videos on www.newsok.com just type in Sean
and Cathy Cummings. They're short and sweet and always good for a laugh...we're
pretty silly together. We'll have a few more coming up for the Holidays!
There's been talk of a new Cumming's restaurant in the works and yes it's true. Sean
and I just don't have enough to do. You know 5 kids (all teenagers by the way), 2
restaurants, cooking videos...it's just not enough to fill our days! ha ha. Well, I'll
send more info when it happens but we're working on permits and they're taking
their time getting to us. No surprise, but I think we'll be waiting until the 1st of the
year so we can both concentrate on the holidays for both restaurants. We just don't
want to rush it so we can do it right!! Not to worry, I promise to keep you all in the
loop as it gets closer!
