    Chicken Marsala at Vito’s Ristorante
    By Kent Anderson

Italian food is best served in an intimate setting, in a place that
lets the cuisine shine without being noisy and boisterous. Vito’s
Ristorante, a fairly new entry to the Italian food market in
Oklahoma City, possesses just such a delightful atmosphere. The
clientele ranges from couples enjoying a romantic dinner for two,
to senior citizens, to families with children. Owner Cathy Cummings
works the front of the house, seating every guest personally and
checking in at least once during the meal.

Chicken Marsala is a staple of most Italian restaurants, but
rarely is it as flavorful as the offering at Vito’s. The chicken
breasts are moist and tender, smothered in the marsala wine
sauce with mushrooms. The presentation and flavor are enhanced
by slivers of red and green peppers. Add sides of pasta and fresh
vegetables, and you have an Italian meal that is made to savor.

Look for Vito’s black door at 7521 N. May, just south of Grand
Boulevard. Vito’s Ristorante is open for dinner only, Tuesday
through Saturday. For information or reservations, call 848.4867.
